A dental exam or dental check-up should be comprehensive and include the following:
- Obtaining details of your medical and dental history including list of medications.
- A thorough visual and digital oral cancer screening.
- A series of diagnostic dental X–rays that provide information regarding cavities, condition of existing fillings and condition of bone around teeth and jaws.
- A periodontal dental exam, which helps in the evaluation of your gums.
- A TMJ and bite evaluation to check for bite problems, worn teeth or jaw joint related issues.
- A thorough assessment of individual teeth to look for cavities, broken restorations and cracked teeth.
This helps our dental team to formulate a comprehensive dental treatment plan, a road map to help achieve your optimal dental health.
